MED-NET Constitution
ARTICLE IV: ORGANISATION AND OFFICERS
Section 1. General
The MED-NET organisation shall consist of the duly authorised Institutional Representatives, or designees, from each MED-NET member or associated member institution.
Section 2. Central MED-NET Board (CMB) and Central MED-NET Office (CMO)
The practical network organisation and management is carried out by the Central MED-NET Board (CMB) and is located in a Central MED-NET Office (CMO). The Central Management Board shall consist of:
- The Contractor
- The Chairperson of the Task Force.
- The Communication Officer
- The Member responsible for Finances
- The Member responsible for organisation of the Conference
The assignment of functions and tasks of the members of the Central Management Board shall be determined within the board. The responsibilities of the Central Management Board are described in the by-laws.
Section 3. Task Force
The MED-NET Task Force shall hold the professional executive power of the network. The MED-NET Task Force consists of a at least twelve and maximum seventeen persons committed to and active in medical education and strongly supporting the MED-NET mission. The composition of the Task Force is as follows:
- One Chairperson
- The other members of the Central MED-NET Board (4)
- Members and co-opted members who are invited on personal title on the basis of activities or on the basis of their chairmanship of a reference group
Section 4. Thematic Reference Groups
Thematic Reference Groups are standing committees for the realisation of the specific objectives of MED-NET with respect to an educational issue. Each Thematic Reference group consists of:
- One Chairperson
- One Vice-Chairperson
A variable number of experts in the target field of the Reference Group
